ZEROBASEONE's leader, Sung Han Bin, has donated 100 million KRW (approximately $72,000 USD) to mark the group's debut anniversary.
According to his agency, THE L1VE LABEL, the donation was made on July 10 to the child rights NGO Good Neighbors. The funds will support the 'Hope Sharing Dream Support Project,' which provides career education and scholarships to children and youth from families facing economic hardship.
The agency said Sung Han Bin was motivated by a desire to give back the love he has received from fans. "He decided to make this donation to express his gratitude for the love he received from fans who have been with him on his journey to achieve his dream, and he wanted to share that heart with children and youth in need of protection," the agency stated.
Sung Han Bin first gained recognition on Mnet's survival program 'Boys Planet' in 2023 before debuting as the leader of ZEROBASEONE.
Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE is preparing for a Japanese comeback. The group will release their second Japanese EP, 'KAIKI LOVE,' on August 19. The title track "Existence," which features the Japanese piano trio Omoinotake, will be pre-released on August 10.
