ZEROBASEONE made a striking return to the Japanese music scene, instantly claiming the number one spot on the Oricon daily album chart with their new EP 'Kaiki LOVE'.
The group released their second Japanese EP on August 19, about 10 months after their previous activities in Japan. According to Oricon, ZEROBASEONE reached the top of the daily album ranking for August 18, coinciding with the day of the album's release.
'Kaiki LOVE' (circling back to you) includes three tracks: the title song 'イグジステンス' (Existence), 'Aphrodite', and a Japanese version of 'TOP 5'. The title track features participation from a member of the Japanese trio band Omoinotake, which added a unique musical element to the song.
The music video for 'イグジステンス' attracted attention for its cinematic style, portraying ZEROBASEONE's youthful energy and themes of youth. The visual direction complements the group's dynamic performance and musical identity.
Before this Japanese release, ZEROBASEONE had already shown their global reach through their sixth mini album 'Ascend-', which ranked high on the US Billboard World Albums and Emerging Artists charts. Their latest Oricon chart achievement further shows their strong presence in the Japanese market.
Following the success of 'Kaiki LOVE', ZEROBASEONE will continue their promotional activities in Japan. On August 20, they plan to hold a special stage event, giving local fans a close-up experience with the group.
Many are watching to see how ZEROBASEONE will continue to build on their momentum in Japan and what achievements they will pursue next.
