SHINee's Onew has officially revealed plans to hold a solo concert in Taipei on October 3, 2026, expanding his acclaimed live performance series to an international audience.
On August 20, Onew shared the news through his official social media, posting the concert poster for '2026 ONEW CONCERT [ONEW THE LIVE : Q] IN TAIPEI.' This Taipei event adds to a packed tour schedule that begins with two nights in Tokyo on September 22 and 23 and continues in Seoul from October 30 to November 1, offering fans in multiple cities a chance to experience his music live.
'ONEW THE LIVE' is Onew's signature concert brand, previously themed as 'CONNECTION' and 'PERCENT (%).' This year's edition carries the subtitle 'Q,' inspired by 'Question.' The concept centers on the idea of a continuous search for meaning, with Onew aiming to share his journey of discovery on stage. The concert promises to reflect his pursuit of new music, stories, and personal answers, inviting anticipation from fans.
To deepen fans' understanding of the new theme, Onew released a docent video on his official YouTube channel on August 19. In the video, he narrates in both Korean and Japanese, explaining the significance behind 'Q.' He describes the concert as an open-ended experience, where there is no set answer and each attendee can find their own meaning depending on their personal memories and experiences.
Onew stated in the video that he has spent years exploring new voices and expressions through his music. He emphasized that 'ONEW THE LIVE : Q' is designed to encourage fans to listen for the questions within the performance and discover their own interpretations and answers.
The Taipei concert will take place at the Taipei International Convention Center. Before the main event, Onew will also participate in a special appearance at the Taipei Dome on September 6 for the 'Fubon Guardians High School' themed event, where he will throw the opening pitch and deliver a special stage performance.
With this series of concerts, Onew continues to connect with fans across Asia, offering a new chapter in his solo journey and inviting audiences to join him in searching for their own answers through music.
