NewJeans has achieved another Spotify milestone as 'Right Now' surpasses 100 million streams, making it the group's 16th track to reach the mark.
According to Spotify, 'Right Now', a track from the group's Japanese debut single 'Supernatural', accumulated over 100 million streams as of July 10.
With this achievement, every track from the group's five releases — spanning two EPs, one single album and two double singles — has now surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. The achievement highlights consistent streaming across the group's entire discography, rather than being limited to its title tracks.
Released in June 2024, 'Right Now' features a drum-and-bass-based beat paired with the members' vibrant vocals. The track performed strongly on major domestic music charts upon release alongside the title track, 'Supernatural', and expanded its global reach by entering Billboard's 'Global 200' and 'Global Excl. U.S.' charts.
The music video also played a key role in the song's success. It features member-specific characters inspired by Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami's artwork and the popular American animated series 'The Powerpuff Girls', adding a strong pop-art aesthetic.
The latest milestone brings NewJeans' total cumulative streams on Spotify to over 7.8 billion. The group's biggest streaming hits, 'Ditto' and 'OMG', have each surpassed 900 million streams, followed closely by 'Super Shy' at over 800 million and 'Hype Boy' at over 700 million.
Other tracks from the group's catalog have also maintained steady popularity. 'New Jeans' and 'Attention' have surpassed 500 million streams, while 'ETA' and 'Cookie' have exceeded 400 million and 300 million streams, respectively. Furthermore, tracks like 'Hurt', 'Cool With You', 'How Sweet' and 'Supernatural' have surpassed 200 million streams, while 'ASAP', 'Get Up' and 'Bubble Gum' have also surpassed 100 million streams, further demonstrating the group's consistent streaming performance across its catalog.
