
Lee Yi Dam has been cast as a lead in the Disney+ original series 'Code,' setting up a tense new mystery crime thriller with Nam Joo Hyuk.
'Code' follows a materialistic lawyer who crosses between illegal schemes and legal loopholes, then receives an invitation to an app called 'Code' that grants wishes. The premise pulls the story into a dangerous web of desire, crime, and hidden truths.
Lee Yi Dam will play Park Ji Dam, a prosecutor who closely tracks Yoon Tae Joo, played by Nam Joo Hyuk. Her character digs into the truth behind the cases tied to 'Code,' placing her right at the center of the chase.
The drama will also lean into the sharp tension between Park Ji Dam and Yoon Tae Joo, who share a connection from the past. Each time they meet, the two characters lock into a fierce battle of nerves, creating a taut chemistry within the thriller.
Yoo Soo Min, who directed the 'Weak Hero' series, will helm 'Code.' Lee Yi Dam has built her filmography through works including the Netflix series 'Can This Love Be Translated?' and 'Lady Dua,' the film 'Pavane,' 'Won Kyung,' and 'Artificial City.'
She drew praise for portraying a character torn between ambition and loyalty in 'Won Kyung,' and for expressing a shift from innocence to desire in 'Lady Dua.' She also earned a supporting actress nomination at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards for 'Lady Dua,' while 'Code' is scheduled for a worldwide release on Disney+ in 2027.
