ILLIT are teasing their Japanese comeback with a new set of concept photos for their second Japanese single, 'I Got Your Back'. On July 8 and 9, the group released the 'FRUiTS' version concept photos and film through their official channels.
The set is a collaboration with Japanese fashion magazine FRUiTS, known for documenting street style. The photos capture members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha in a candid street-snap style, each styled with vintage items and brands popular in Japan during the 1990s and 2000s — a look the group calls "ILLIT Core."
A concept film was also released in an interview format styled as 'FRUiTS X ILLIT TV,' with Iroha playing a reporter. Asked whether she cares what others think of her fashion, Wonhee replied, "Not at all. I feel good when I dress like this," underscoring the group's theme of self-expression.
'I Got Your Back' tells the story of girls growing up while navigating their worries. The single arrives digitally on July 26, with the physical album — including the FRUiTS special edition — on July 29. ILLIT have also been promoting in Japan, where their first Japanese tour 'ILLIT LIVE PRESS START in JAPAN' sold out all 11 shows across five cities.
