Highlight's Son Dongwoon confirmed for 'Gon Tomorrow' musical

Highlight's Son Dongwoon is set to impress audiences, confirming his role in the 10th-anniversary production of the musical 'Gon Tomorrow.' He will embody the historical revolutionary figure Kim Ok Gyun, with performances beginning on September 15.

The musical 'Gon Tomorrow' will open at the Hongik Daehangno Art Center Grand Theater in Jongno-gu, Seoul. This historical drama draws inspiration from the final moments of Kim Ok Gyun, who sought asylum in Japan following the Gapsin Coup, and the assassination plot that surrounded him. Having premiered in 2016 and seen revivals in 2021 and 2023, the production has consistently garnered acclaim for its narrative and popular appeal.

For this 10th-anniversary run, 'Gon Tomorrow' will deepen its established storyline and emotional resonance while introducing fresh interpretations. These new layers aim to vividly portray the characters' relationships and choices. The 10th-anniversary performances of 'Gon Tomorrow' featuring Son Dongwoon will run from September 15 to November 29. Beyond the stage, Son Dongwoon maintains a packed schedule.
