Park Ji Won of fromis_9 is taking on a new challenge as a musical actress. On July 28, Ascend announced, "Park Ji Won will take her first step as a musical actress. She will be performing as Ally in the musical 'Hell's Kitchen,' which opens today." 'Hell's Kitchen' is inspired by the life of American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys. Set in Manhattan, New York, the musical tells a story about dreams, music, and family. Park Ji Won will play the lead role of Ally, a free-spirited and curious young woman who lives alone with her mother. She will portray Ally's journey with her signature bright energy. "I am nervous but even more excited to be stepping onto a musical stage for the first time since my debut," Park Ji Won said. "I prepared very hard for this, and I hope you will show lots of love and support." Alongside her musical debut, Park Ji Won will continue her activities with fromis_9. The group recently made their comeback on July 21 with their second full-length album, Glow ME. Meanwhile, 'Hell's Kitchen' will run until November 8 at GS Arts Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
