Red Velvet has found itself at the center of an online discussion after fans claimed to have spotted an apparent AI logo in the group’s latest comeback schedule poster.
On July 7 KST, SM Entertainment unveiled Red Velvet’s official schedule poster through the group’s social media channels, kicking off promotions for the group’s upcoming comeback. Featuring a blue tile-inspired design, the teaser heightened anticipation for what fans expect to be another signature “Summer Queen” release.

Soon after the image was posted, however, some fans began questioning its appearance, arguing that the colors and textures looked different from traditionally created artwork.
As fans examined the image more closely, several claimed to have identified what appeared to be an AI-generated image watermark embedded within a shell located in the center of the second row of the poster. While it initially resembled a light reflection, zoomed-in screenshots circulating online highlighted a small diamond-shaped logo that some believe is associated with AI-generated imagery.
The discovery quickly sparked divided reactions among fans.
Some expressed disappointment, writing comments such as, “They haven’t had a comeback in a while—they should have put more care into it,” and, “Using AI is one thing, but leaving an obvious logo behind just looks careless.”
Others were less concerned, arguing that AI has already become widely used throughout the entertainment industry.
Comments included, “Many music video directors use AI these days. I don’t see how this is different,” “If AI can produce results like this, why not use it?” and “Even after knowing about it, I still can’t tell. I’d rather learn the prompt.”
Neither SM Entertainment nor Red Velvet has commented on the claims regarding the image.
Meanwhile, Red Velvet is scheduled to release its new album on August 3, with a variety of promotional content set to roll out in the weeks leading up to the comeback.
