Actor Yoo Ah In is set to resume his acting career under a new agency. Billions announced on August 21 that it had signed an exclusive contract with Yoo Ah In. The agency stated, “After careful consideration and a thorough process, we decided to embark on a new beginning together.” Regarding the direction of his future activities, the agency said it would “accompany the actor from a long-term perspective so that he can fulfill his responsibilities and rebuild trust with the public.” Billions emphasized that it intends to go beyond conventional management duties and serve as a genuine partner to the actor. “We will create an environment in which he can healthily continue his activities,” the agency promised. The agency added, “We will manage all aspects of Yoo Ah In’s activities and support him so that he can fully focus on his responsibilities as an actor.” However, given that Yoo Ah In was convicted and received a suspended sentence over repeated drug use, the agency took a cautious stance regarding his return. It repeatedly emphasized the importance of “reflection” and “responsibility.” “We will not take the time he spent in the past lightly,” the agency said. “We fully understand that reflection and a sincere attitude are necessary.” It continued, “We will be a responsible partner so that Yoo Ah In can honestly forge his own path. Please continue to watch and support his journey moving forward.” Yoo Ah In recently signaled his return to the big screen, marking his first major acting comeback in approximately three years since the allegations surrounding his drug use emerged in 2023. At the time, he stepped down from Netflix’s ‘Hellbound’ Season 2. As the controversy surrounding the actor grew, the release schedules of several films featuring Yoo Ah In were also affected. ‘The Match’ (2025) and ‘Hi.Five’ (2025) were eventually released after significant delays. Yoo Ah In was subsequently indicted on charges of repeatedly using illegal drugs. He was initially sentenced to one year in prison in his first trial, but the final ruling handed down last year sentenced him to one year in prison with a two-year suspended sentence. His upcoming comeback project is director Jang Jae Hyun’s film ‘Vampire.’ Yoo Ah In has been cast as a contract killer who pursues a pagan group.
