Weekly allkpop: Colde, Stray Kids, KiiiKiii and more

A weekly playlist of ten tracks hand-picked by allkpop's editors in Korea, bringing together this week's K-pop releases across a range of genres.

Colde is back with ICY BABY, and closing track "SHUT DA FXXKA AND GO" runs through the youth theme at the album's core. Much like his past track "Lighter," it channels a rough, rebellious side of being young. Colde has always been known for the visuals of his music videos, and here again the video threads the music and the message together.

Stray Kids are back with "This & That" and a music video that plays up their signature chill, cool mood. Over a groovy hip hop base, a languid but addictive melody rides lyrics that move freely between one option and the next. Whatever it is they want, they do "this and that," all of it, and the track carries that ready ease and confidence.

The title track of WayV's eighth mini album is a Chinese-style hip hop performance number, pairing the elegant melody of the guzheng with a trendy jungle-beat production. Built around the keyword 鸢, the kite-hawk that soars highest even through a storm, it sings about unshaken conviction and a flight that pushes past every limit.

After sweeping the first half of the year with "404 (New Era)," KiiiKiii return with a hard-hitting slice of synth-pop. Their new EP features artists from across genres, including hyperpop's Effie, and the title track lays an unforgettable, addictive chorus over a sensory beat that all but sketches the stage performance in your head.

Jeong Eunji's bright, clear, stretch-it-out vocals are about the coolest sound you could ask for in summer. The song carries a single message, that every moment has been love, and hands it to the listener along with a jolt of energy.

From the first drum hit, "Hootie Frutti" throws off heat like a sun blazing overhead. It is the album's title track and KATSEYE's boldest statement yet, with Brazilian funk percussion and a full pop sound meeting heavy drums and witty lyrics to deliver pure confidence in the most direct way.

Yeonjun stacks his rap over a heavy guitar sound, showing off a charisma that stands in sharp contrast to his previous single "Ice Cream." Rap or vocal, every section carries his color and energy, the track playing almost like proof of him as a true multiplayer.

Their Japanese debut single "ICONIC HEART" is a jersey club dance number built on bright synths and a bouncy beat, told through playful, cute touches across the whole music video. It keeps the zest of their earlier "Lemon Tang" while reshaping it for their Japanese debut, and Hearts2Hearts' mischievous charm and lovable energy stand out.

Set to a music video shot in the Korean countryside, "STUCK!" blends a kitschy Y2K mood with a stylish sound for pH-1's take on summer. It centers on the kind of cool, breezy energy that suits the hottest stretch of the year, going for trendy production and an addictive feel at the same time.

For "Fake It," the former ASTRO member took part in writing the lyrics himself as a solo artist. The dreamy words and an intense sound bring Rocky's emotional line into sharper focus.
