TWICE's Jeongyeon, Tzuyu, and Chaeyoung are reportedly in discussions to pursue individual activities with different agencies, according to industry sources on July 14. The reports come as TWICE approaches its second contract renewal period.
According to the reports, the three members are seeking agencies for their individual contracts, while all TWICE members remain committed to continuing group activities. Under this 'separate but together' approach, individual contracts would be handled by outside agencies, with group promotions continuing under JYP Entertainment. In their individual work so far, Jeongyeon has focused on acting and variety shows, Tzuyu has built a strong following across Chinese-speaking markets, and Chaeyoung has pursued interests in art and fashion.
In response, JYP Entertainment told Joynews24 on July 14, "TWICE is currently in the contract renewal discussion period, and we will provide an update once the matter is confirmed." Nothing has been finalized. TWICE previously renewed their contracts with JYP in 2022.
