At a press conference for their new mini album 'THIS & THAT' on August 6 at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Stray Kids addressed their upcoming military enlistments as the group prepares to pause full eight-member activities. The eldest member, Lee Know, born in 1998, is expected to enlist first.
Lee Know spoke about his sense of duty, saying, "Fulfilling national service is a responsibility I will carry out sincerely when called upon."
While the group has not finalized its plans for activities after enlistment, he reassured fans about a reunion. "One thing is certain: we will reunite. Our STAY will be waiting for us, and after returning from the military, we want to repay their love. Please wait a little while; we will be back soon," he said.
Other members also shared their thoughts on the coming hiatus. Seungmin spoke about focusing on the present, saying, "I did not want to lose the happiness of now by worrying too much about the future. Our motto is to do our best with what we can do right now. Please quietly watch over us."
Stray Kids debuted in 2018 and released the mini album 'THIS & THAT' on August 7, their first album of the year. The group has not announced specific enlistment dates.
