Singer Sean once again marked Korea’s Liberation Day with a meaningful challenge, completing an 81.5-kilometer run despite an injury.
On August 15, Sean shared a photo on Instagram celebrating the completion of his 81.5-kilometer run. “Everything will be alright, Korea! I successfully delivered my seventh 81.5-kilometer letter of gratitude. Thank you. We will not forget!” he wrote.

Sean has long been recognized for his philanthropic efforts, including campaigns supporting the construction of a care hospital for patients with ALS and initiatives assisting Korean independence patriots and their descendants.
In particular, he has organized the annual 815 Run on August 15, Korea’s National Liberation Day, to commemorate the country’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule and express gratitude toward those who fought for Korea’s independence.
Ahead of this year’s event, Sean revealed that he was preparing for the 81.5-kilometer challenge despite dealing with an injury. “I believe the independence fighters will gladly receive this 81.5-kilometer letter of gratitude, so I will run while putting my heart into every single step,” he said on August 14.

Sean ultimately pushed through the physical challenge and successfully completed his seventh 815 Run, drawing praise and support for his dedication.
Actor Park Bo Gum also participated in this year’s event. He shared a commemorative photo from the run, drawing additional attention to the annual campaign and its message of remembrance.
Through his seventh 81.5-kilometer run, Sean once again used Liberation Day to honor those who sacrificed for Korea’s independence while encouraging others to remember their contributions.
