Moon Sang Min and Shin Si Ah are set to star in a new teen romance series. Netflix announced the cast lineup for its upcoming series 'No Crushing Allowed' (written by Lee Na Eun and directed by Lee Soo Hyun) on August 20. The series stars Moon Sang Min, Shin Si Ah, Lee Min Jae, and Choi Hee Jin. 'No Crushing Allowed' is set at two prestigious high schools for boys and girls separated by a single wall. The series follows 19-year-olds who are forbidden from dating as they navigate their first experiences with love. Moon Sang Min will play Lee Chi Won, the student council president of Jinwol High School for Boys. Chi Won is an exemplary student who has earned everyone's trust. He excels in academics, sports, and character, seemingly without a single flaw. Shin Si Ah will portray So Ran, the student council president of Jinwol Girls' High School. She and Chi Won grew up together and have been rivals since childhood. However, she gradually begins to develop feelings for him that leave her unsure whether they stem from her competitive nature or romantic attraction. Lee Min Jae will play Gong Soo Ho, a student at Jinwol High School for Boys who approaches So Ran for a certain reason. Choi Hee Jin will portray Kim Ri Ji, a transfer student at Jinwol Girls' High School and So Ran's roommate. The series will be directed by Lee Soo Hyun, who has showcased a distinctive romantic style in works such as 'The Auditors' and 'My Dearest Nemesis.' Screenwriter Lee Na Eun, who wrote 'Our Beloved Summer,' will pen the script. A representative from the production team said, "Two creators who have portrayed the excitement and growth of youth are coming together to depict a first-love story that anyone can relate to, captivating viewers." Meanwhile, Netflix has yet to announce a release date for 'No Crushing Allowed.' The series will be available to stream on Netflix at a later date. Moon Sang Min made his acting debut in 2019 with the web drama '4 Reasons Why I Hate Christmas.' He later appeared in Netflix's 'My Name' in 2021 before landing his breakout role as Grand Prince Seongnam in the 2022 historical drama 'Under the Queen's Umbrella.' His performance in 'Under the Queen's Umbrella' earned him the Best New Actor award at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2023, helping establish him as one of the industry's rising young actors. He subsequently took on leading roles in the 2024 romantic comedy 'Wedding Impossible' and the 2026 historical series 'To My Beloved Thief.' Shin Si Ah, meanwhile, rose to prominence with her acting debut in the 2022 sci-fi action film 'The Witch: Part 2. The Other One.' She was selected for the lead role after reportedly beating out 1,408 candidates during the audition process, taking on the role of a mysterious young woman known only as "Girl." Following her film debut, Shin expanded into television with tvN's 2025 medical drama 'Resident Playbook,' where she played first-year resident Pyo Nam Kyung. She also starred in the romance film 'Even If This Love Disappears From the World Tonight,' which was released in theaters in December 2025 and became available globally on Netflix in February 2026. With Moon Sang Min bringing his experience from both historical and romantic dramas and Shin Si Ah making her transition from acclaimed film roles into leading television projects, expectations are building for their first on-screen pairing in 'No Crushing Allowed.'
