Actress Kyung Soo-jin will make her theater debut in the comedy play 'The Secret of the Flower,' directed by Jang Jin. The role marks her first stage appearance after a career spanning film, television, and variety.
Set in Villaperosa, a village in northwestern Italy, the comedy follows four housewives who disguise themselves as their missing husbands for a day. This season adopts a gender-free casting approach, which drew attention within the theater community ahead of opening night.
Kyung Soo-jin will play Monica, a lively housewife who once dreamed of becoming an actress.
"I have always admired theater for its live connection with the audience," Kyung Soo-jin said. "Taking my first step into this world with director Jang Jin’s work and the captivating role of Monica is both thrilling and nerve-wracking." She added that she looks forward to learning from the production team and senior actors.
'The Secret of the Flower' will run from September 12 to November 29 at Bugs Hall in Seoul’s Link Art Center. The first round of tickets opens on August 7 at 11 AM.
Kyung Soo-jin has built her career across dramas and films and signed with uhoostudio in 2025. The production adds theater to her range as a performer.
