Song Joong Ki and Park Ji Hyun are set to reunite in a new romantic comedy. On July 9, KBS unveiled the main cast for its upcoming weekend miniseries 'Love Cloud,' written by Team Mad Rabbit and directed by Song Min Yeob. Song Joong Ki and Park Ji Hyun will lead the fantasy romance. 'Love Cloud' tells the story of an air traffic controller who can see people's emotions through the weather after a breakup, and a pilot cursed to have her feelings affect the weather. The two former lovers unexpectedly reunite, setting off an emotional and heartwarming romance. Song Joong Ki stars as Kang Woo Joo, a former flight instructor turned air traffic controller. Once known as the "Mad Captain" for his strict training style, he now works in the control tower while maintaining a surprisingly gentle side. Although he is meticulous and composed on the job, Kang Woo Joo enjoys spending his free time watching clouds. His quiet life is thrown off course after he crosses paths again with Ahn Ha Nee. "When I first read the script, I found the idea of Ahn Ha Nee's emotions being connected to clouds incredibly fascinating," Song Joong Ki said. "I hope to create great chemistry with Park Ji Hyun." He added, "With such an outstanding director, writers, and cast, I'll do my best to convey the unique charm of this drama to viewers." Park Ji Hyun plays Ahn Ha Nee, a hardworking pilot whose emotions literally change the weather. A devoted workaholic determined to earn a promotion, she willingly takes on assignments others avoid. However, after an unexpected accident, she is cursed so that her emotions directly influence the weather. Her feelings become even more turbulent when she reunites with her ex-boyfriend, Kang Woo Joo. "While reading the script, I laughed, cried, and became completely immersed in the story," Park Ji Hyun said. "I hope to bring viewers a heart-fluttering romance they'll truly enjoy." The series is directed by Song Min Yeob, who previously earned acclaim for 'Youth of May' and 'High Cookie.' The screenplay is written by the rookie writing team, Team Mad Rabbit. 'Love Cloud' is scheduled to premiere next year.
