KATSEYE is bringing a major pop name into its next release, with Ed Sheeran listed as a composer on the group's new digital single "Animal."
"Animal" is set for release on July 24, 2026, at 1 PM. The track will arrive as a pre-release single for KATSEYE's third EP 'WILD,' which is scheduled for August 14, 2026.
The song has been described as a track built around an intense beat, an addictive hook, and provocative lyrics. A previously released music video teaser gave fans their first look at part of the sound and performance, raising attention around the group's next move.
KATSEYE, the girl group created through HYBE and Geffen Records' joint project, debuted last year and has been extending its global momentum. The group recently entered Billboard's main singles chart, the Hot 100, with "Gnarly."
Ed Sheeran brings a familiar hitmaker credit to the project. He is known for songs including "Shape of You," "Perfect," and "Thinking Out Loud," and has also taken part in writing and composing BTS's "Permission to Dance" and "Make It Right."
His connection with KATSEYE also stretches back before "Animal." Last year, he shared "Gnarly" on his Instagram Story and called it "new jam," and he later met the group at the 2025 NRJ Music Awards.
With "Animal" leading into 'WILD,' KATSEYE's next rollout now carries both a new single and a high-profile composer credit ahead of the EP's August release.
