Jung Yoonha explained how she crafted the character’s distinct personas by language: employing elegant, formal diction in English, a masculine, mercenary tone in Japanese, and a businesslike manner in Korean. She described Kusanagi as a master strategist, akin to a chess grandmaster, who values results above all else. Driven by a profound inferiority complex and fierce ambition, he suppresses emotions for her goals yet is secretly ruled by distorted desires, making him a calculating sociopath.
To express Kusanagi’s twisted inner world, Jung Yoonha incorporated subtle psychological gestures, particularly hand movements, and intentionally disrupted speech rhythms. This created an unsettling, unpredictable presence, distinguishing her character with unique charm and complexity.
Jung Yoonha also praised co-stars Kim Hyejun and Lee Dongwook for their strong support and powerful screen presence, which helped her naturally integrate into the established storyline.
