Jennie of BLACKPINK headlined Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1, closing the festival as the final act on the main Bud Light stage. She became the first Korean solo artist to headline the North American festival.
Her set ran about one hour and featured 18 songs performed with a live band. It marked her first festival appearance since the release of her single "Less than a Lover" last month.
During the set, Jennie performed a previously unreleased song for the first time and shared the main stage with fellow headliners Charli XCX and Lorde. The Bud Light stage has previously hosted acts such as The Cure, Coldplay, and The Weeknd.
Jennie debuted with BLACKPINK under YG Entertainment in August 2016 before launching her solo career in 2018 with the single "SOLO." In 2025, she released her first solo studio album 'Ruby' through her own label, Odd Atelier.
'Ruby' produced singles including "Mantra" and "like JENNIE," broadening her reach in the global pop market. Meanwhile, Jennie will continue her festival schedule with an appearance at Japan’s Summer Sonic 2026.
