IU to re-release two concert films after postponing shows

IU is bringing two of her concert films back to theaters, giving fans another chance to experience her live performances on the big screen. This announcement comes after she postponed her September concert and album due to worsening symptoms of patulous eustachian tube.

On June 18, CGV shared a video featuring IU herself, where she mentioned that her 18th debut anniversary is approaching. She asked fans if they remembered what they were doing three years ago on September 18, hinting that many were likely watching her concert film at CGV.

In the video, IU revealed that both 'IU Concert: The Golden Hour' and 'IU Concert: The Winning' will return to CGV in September. 'IU Concert: The Golden Hour' will screen on September 9, followed by 'IU Concert: The Winning' on September 16.

She encouraged fans who missed the films before, or those wanting to relive the concert atmosphere, to take advantage of this opportunity. IU also shared that 'The Winning' will be shown in special formats including ScreenX, 4DX, and Ultra 4DX, and that various events are planned for the screenings.

The film 'IU Concert: The Golden Hour' is based on her 2022 concert, while 'IU Concert: The Winning' draws from her 2024 world tour. The former was first released in 2023, and the latter in 2025, both capturing the excitement of her large-scale performances.

Last month, IU informed her fan community that her Goyang Stadium concert, originally set for September, would not go ahead due to her ongoing health issues. She also noted that the release of her sixth full-length album would be delayed since its main promotions were tied to the concert and tour.

Despite these setbacks, IU continues to work on projects that do not strain her condition, such as filming music videos and other scheduled activities. Fans can look forward to revisiting her concert moments through these upcoming theater screenings.
