CIX's Hyunseok has been confirmed as a co-lead alongside Hwang Minhyun in the second season of the TVING original series 'Study Group'. He will play the character Ji Younghyun, according to a July 13 report by MyDaily, and is currently filming.
'Study Group' is based on a webtoon of the same name and follows Yoon Gamin, played by Hwang Minhyun, a student at Yoosung Technical High School who excels in fighting but wants to improve his grades, leading him to form a study group. Hwang Minhyun is reprising his role after completing his alternative military service. Hyunseok's character, Ji Younghyun, is a figure from the original webtoon who forms a new dynamic with Yoon Gamin.
Hyunseok debuted in 2019 with CIX and has since expanded into acting, with roles in web dramas including 'When I Fell in Love with a Delinquent' and 'The World You Are Falling Into'. He recently signed with Management Run. He is also set to appear in the tvN drama 'My Favorite Employee', premiering on August 3.
