CJ ENM has announced a new season of the adventure variety show 'Great Escape,' set to premiere on TVING in the second half of 2026. The lineup pairs returning members with fresh faces for the next chapter of the series.
Since its 2018 debut on tvN, 'Great Escape' has drawn audiences with its large-scale sets, intricate storylines, and immersive worldbuilding, helping expand the escape-room genre in Korean variety.
The new season brings back original members Kim Jongmin and Shin Dong, along with regulars Kim Donghyun, Yoo Byungjae, and Go Kyungpyo. Joining them is SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan, whose empathy, personality, and comedic timing are expected to bring new chemistry to the team.
Kim Jongmin returns as the sharp "clue finder," nicknamed "Kim Discovery," while Shin Dong, known as "Captain Shin," continues as the team's analytical anchor. Kim Donghyun is set to handle the physically demanding missions, and Yoo Byungjae takes on the role of the group's "clue storyteller."
With a mix of veteran cast members and a new addition, the upcoming season aims to build on the show's reputation for elaborate escape scenarios and team chemistry.
