G-Dragon surprises Yoo Jae Suk and Haha by admitting he can’t use mobile banking

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon surprised Yoo Jae Suk and Haha by revealing that he is unexpectedly unfamiliar with mobile banking.

On August 22 KST, YouTube channel DdeunDdeun released a new BIGBANG episode of the web variety show Pinggyego.

During the episode, Haha brought up his difficulties using kiosks and asked Yoo Jae Suk whether he could handle banking through his phone. Yoo Jae Suk immediately replied that he could, but G-Dragon unexpectedly raised his hand and admitted, “I can’t.”

His response immediately caught Yoo Jae Suk and Haha off guard.

“What are you going to do if you can’t handle banking? What about your assets?” Yoo Jae Suk joked, while Haha added, “What are you going to do with all that money?”

G-Dragon explained that he has a wealth manager who handles his finances. However, that only made the two even more concerned.

“Even if someone manages it for you, you should still check it,” they urged him, with Haha jokingly asking, “You trust them? You trust people?”

Haha then revealed that he prefers visiting the bank himself because he does not even trust machines.

G-Dragon clarified that he is comfortable handling matters in person but simply does not know how to use mobile banking.

“I can go to the bank and speak with the staff in person, but I can’t do any of it on mobile,” he explained.

The unexpected confession drew laughter as G-Dragon showed an unexpectedly analog side despite his image as one of K-pop’s most influential stars.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG returned on August 19 with their new digital single “BiiiG,” released in celebration of the group’s 20th debut anniversary.
