Former BIGBANG member Seungri spotted attending event in Hanoi, Vietnam

Former BIGBANG member Seungri has been spotted in Vietnam, drawing attention to his latest public appearance.

On August 21(local time), Vietnamese new media outlet SChannel shared a video on its official social media account showing Seungri arriving at an event venue in Hanoi.

In the footage, Seungri is seen walking toward the venue in rainy weather while being escorted by security personnel holding an umbrella. He appeared in a beige suit jacket, with his appearance also attracting attention online.

According to the outlet, Seungri visited the Ho Guom Opera House, a major landmark in Hanoi, on August 20 to attend the opening event for AY-VY Hanoi.

However, Seungri’s name was reportedly not included on the event’s official guest list, and he did not appear in photos shared through AY-VY Hanoi’s official social media channels. This led to online speculation that his attendance may have been arranged privately, though this has not been officially confirmed.

His presence in Vietnam also sparked reactions on social media. One overseas netizen shared what appeared to be a photo of Seungri checking into a hotel and wrote, “Glad he’s with a man, not a woman,” reflecting the continued scrutiny surrounding his public appearances.

The AY-VY Hanoi opening event also drew attention for its lineup of Vietnamese and international guests, including Scott Storch, Danny Boy Styles, Mario Winans, Soobin, and Binz.

Seungri, whose real name is Lee Seung Hyun, left BIGBANG and announced his retirement from the entertainment industry in 2019.
