CORTIS celebrated their first debut anniversary with a special trip, looking back on their first year together and sharing heartfelt messages with fans.
Since debut, CORTIS members Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho have actively participated in the collaborative creation of their music, videos, and choreography, establishing a distinctive identity of their own. Their creative approach has earned them the nickname “Young Creator Crew.”
On August 21 KST, CORTIS released the second episode of their original variety content “2026 1st Anniversary School Trip Guide” through the group’s official YouTube channel.
Rather than being a simple vacation, the trip was designed as an educational experience incorporating visits to historical sites. In the first episode, the members toured the Baekje Cultural Land in Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province, and tested their knowledge through history quizzes.
The second episode followed the members to their accommodation, where they participated in recreational activities traditionally associated with school trips.
One particularly meaningful moment came when the five members gathered in a darkened auditorium and opened up about their feelings. Their conversation highlighted the trust and memories they have built together over the past year.
Asked to share something they had been grateful to their fellow members for but had not previously expressed, the members said, “Thank you for being together through both difficult and happy moments and giving us this sense of camaraderie. We’re fortunate and happy that the people closest to us are also the people we can trust the most.”
They continued, “It feels like there may never be people quite like this again in our lives. We’re happy that people who want to achieve the same things came together and are doing well together.”
CORTIS also expressed their gratitude toward their fandom, COER.
“Each and every one of you makes our stages shine and makes every day incredibly precious,” the members said. “We really want to tell you that everything is thanks to you.”
The members then spent around 40 minutes writing heartfelt rolling-paper messages. Their handwritten notes were later shared through Weverse.
One message read, “We’re always grateful and we love you. We hope we can continue running together with even more energy than we have until now.”
Meanwhile, CORTIS will hold 2026 CORTIS TOUR ‘PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN’ BIRTHDAY PARTY at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul on August 22 and 23.
The shows are part of the group’s first tour, which sold out all 14 performances across nine cities, while also serving as a celebration of CORTIS’ first anniversary.
The concerts carry additional significance as CORTIS will return one year later to the same venue where they held their RELEASE PARTY shortly after the release of their debut album.
