Maryland Governor Wes Moore has welcomed BTS to Baltimore with a video message posted ahead of the group's stadium shows in the city.
According to a report by Newsis on August 10, the governor shared a clip of roughly 30 seconds on social media, subtitled in Korean for the group's fans.
Moore centered his message on what the seven members have built together. "The seven members share one goal: to overcome the barriers of different cultures, regions, and languages and unite the world as one," he said.
He then named each member in turn, listing RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, before turning to the fandom waiting in the city.
"Welcome to Baltimore. And to all ARMY, shout out loud," Moore added.
The message comes as BTS bring their world tour 'ARIRANG' to M&T Bank Stadium for two nights on August 10 and 11. The venue, home of the Baltimore Ravens, is one of the largest stops on the North American leg.
Previously, the group announced the tour as a large-scale run covering dozens of shows across multiple regions, marking their return to stadium touring as a full seven-member lineup.
Korean outlets noted that the clip carried Korean subtitles throughout, a choice aimed squarely at the group's fans rather than at a local audience alone.
BTS take the stage at M&T Bank Stadium on August 10 and 11.
