Fans attending HYBE's 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK' celebration will have the opportunity to create their own exclusive 'ARIRANG' New York Edition T-shirt through a special DIY experience operated by Withmuu, the official retail brand of Korean K-pop merchandise company COPAN GLOBAL. Running from July 30 through August 3 inside Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal, the interactive activation is part of HYBE's citywide BTS fan event taking over New York. Participants can customize limited-edition T-shirts available exclusively in New York while also viewing the iconic stage outfits BTS wore during the 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF' concert at London's Wembley Stadium in 2019.
The DIY program, officially titled 'CUSTOMIZE YOUR T-SHIRT,' lets fans personalize their own commemorative shirt from start to finish. After checking in with a Weverse reservation, visitors purchase a shirt, choose exclusive stickers, decorate it with handwritten messages or artwork using fabric markers, and have the finished design heat-pressed by staff. Each session costs 50 USD, which includes one T-shirt and four exclusive stickers. Shirts are available in black or white in M, L, and XL sizes. The sticker set features three 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK' graphics along with one design inspired by the track list from BTS's fifth studio album. Purchases are limited to five shirts per person. In addition to the customization experience, fans can view costumes worn by the BTS members during their historic 2019 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF' performances at Wembley Stadium, bringing together exclusive merchandise and memorable tour artifacts in one location.
All ARMY 'MADANG' programs require advance reservations through Weverse, with reservations available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each reservation grants a 45-minute session, and late arrivals of more than 15 minutes will not be admitted. Capacity is limited, and some sessions may close early depending on on-site conditions. The New York activation is part of 'THE CITY,' HYBE's fan experience project that expands concerts beyond the venue by transforming an entire city into a celebration of BTS. Following previous editions in Seoul, Las Vegas, Busan, and London, 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK' brings themed attractions throughout Manhattan, including special experiences at Top of the Rock, a BTS-themed Big Bus Tours route, and additional ARMY 'MADANG' programs at the Korean Cultural Center New York.
