BOYNEXTDOOR kicked off the Japanese leg of their first world tour on August 21, performing at K-Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa. This marks the beginning of their 'BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.2' IN JAPAN', with shows running through August 23.
The tour will continue across six Japanese cities: Saga on August 29 and 30, Osaka on September 9 and 10, Miyagi on September 19 and 20, Nagano on September 25 and 26, and Chiba on October 10 and 11. In total, BOYNEXTDOOR will hold 13 performances throughout Japan.
During these concerts, the group will perform their latest Japanese digital single, "Boom Boom Boom," which dropped on August 18. This track is their first original Japanese release in about nine months since the November release of "SAY CHEESE!" The song features catchy repetitive phrases and a fast beat, perfectly suited to energize the tour atmosphere.
Through their agency KOZ Entertainment, BOYNEXTDOOR shared their excitement, saying they are happy to show growth and look forward to singing with fans. They also promised to make the tour a joyful experience for everyone involved.
Since its release, "Boom Boom Boom" has gained notable attention on Japanese music charts. Fan tracking reported the song ranked 6th on both Line Music's real-time top 100 and Japan's iTunes top songs as of August 19, though official chart confirmation has not been released.
BOYNEXTDOOR has steadily built a strong presence in Japan. Their Japanese single "BOYLIFE," released last August, topped two categories on the Oricon weekly chart and earned a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Their first full-length album "HOME," released in July, also received a gold certification from the same association.
This Japan tour is part of BOYNEXTDOOR's first world tour, which began with shows in Seoul and Busan in July. After Japan, the group will continue touring across 10 cities in North America and 6 cities in Asia, totaling 24 cities and 35 concerts worldwide.
With this extensive schedule, BOYNEXTDOOR aims to broaden their global reach, connecting with fans across Japan, North America, and Asia through their dynamic performances and new music.
