According to the fan's account and a video they released, they had asked U-Kwon, "What animal do I resemble?" during the event. U-Kwon wrote "naked mole rat" as his answer. The fan explained that they were 15 years old at the time and recalled that the group was known for being unfriendly to fans during that period, which made the comment especially hurtful.
After the story and video spread online, U-Kwon responded directly on August 20. He left a comment on the fan's post using his official account, stating, "No excuses needed, I'm sorry," offering a straightforward apology for his past words.
U-Kwon made his debut with Block B in 2011 with the single album 'Do U Wanna B?'. He has been active in both group promotions and solo activities, most recently releasing the solo single 'Tú y yo' in June.
