BIGBANG’s Taeyang opens up about quiet family life: “I’ve always been a homebody”

BIGBANG’s Taeyang shared a glimpse into his everyday life away from the spotlight, revealing that he spends most of his free time at home with his family.

On August 22, BIGBANG members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung appeared together on the YouTube variety show 'Pinggyego' to celebrate the group’s 20th debut anniversary.

Asked how he has been spending his time lately, Taeyang replied, “My life is very simple.”

Daesung chimed in that Taeyang has been busy raising his child, prompting the singer to talk about his family life.

Taeyang married actress Min Hyo Rin in 2018, and the couple welcomed their son in 2021.

“Other than working on music and doing my schedules, I’m devoted to my family,” Taeyang said. “I’ve always been a homebody. I pretty much do everything at home.”

Taeyang also shared details about his daily routine, revealing that he has never been much of a breakfast person.

“I’ve been like that since I was young. I usually have my first meal around noon,” he explained.

When Haha asked whether he still goes shopping, Taeyang said he rarely does these days.

“I used to shop for clothes a lot until my mid-to-late 20s, but now I mostly shop online,” he said. “If a brand I like releases something, I’ll occasionally go to the store in person.”

Meanwhile, BIGBANG released their new digital single “BiiiG” on August 19. The group kicked off their 20th-anniversary world tour BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR ‘XX : COSMOS’ at Goyang Stadium on August 21.
