BIGBANG’s Daesung says group never had internal conflicts

BIGBANG member Daesung shared that the group never experienced the kind of internal conflicts often associated with long-running idol groups.

On July 17 KST, Daesung welcomed Super Junior members Leeteuk and Heechul to his YouTube channel, Zip Daesung, in an episode titled “Super Junior’s Final, Final, Final Battle Recap.”

During the conversation, Leeteuk and Heechul reflected on how frequent disagreements ultimately strengthened the bond among Super Junior’s members. Heechul then expressed surprise after hearing that BIGBANG had never gone through a similar “internal war.”

“That could never happen in our group,” Daesung replied. “I can’t even imagine it.”

When Heechul asked whether G-Dragon and Taeyang, who are the same age, had ever clashed, Daesung answered, “I’ve never seen it happen in front of me.”

Leeteuk jokingly suggested that BIGBANG may have stayed united because of Daesung, saying, “The reason BIGBANG never had an internal conflict is because Daesung handled things so well. These days, we’re the ones watching Kyuhyun’s mood.”

The lighthearted exchange continued when Daesung confirmed that he is the youngest member of BIGBANG.

BIGBANG is currently active as a three-member group consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung.

Former member T.O.P has resumed his music career after previously announcing his retirement from the group, recently releasing his first full-length solo album in 13 years.

Former member Seungri, meanwhile, left BIGBANG in 2019 following the Burning Sun scandal. He was later convicted on multiple criminal charges and served a prison sentence before being released in 2023. He has not returned to the entertainment industry, although he has been spotted at various private events overseas.
